Circle Discussion Thoughts

Reflecting on my group discussion:

It was fun and interesting to listen to each other's responses and follow up questions when not prompted by a teacher.
I thought Maddie did a really good job of keeping the discussion going especially since we tended to look for answers from her since she had a different perspective as the only female of the group. It was nice to see everyone in the group speak up since some of the kids don't normally participate in class often.

Reflecting on the other group discussion:

Ally did a really good job of leading the discussion and changing topics when necessary.

Nausher also prompted good discussion and participated a lot.
Most everyone else chimed in here and there with good points and interesting views which created for a cohesive talk that was insightful.

Overall, we tended to disregard Austen's time because we all seemed to agree that today things are drastically different. As for our views on how we view our mates in this day and age, our views differed which was cool to see.

My favorite question of the discussion was asked by Jack Breen:

(roughly) What are the differences in how men and women court each other and how are they prevalent in both the past and today?

I thought it got us into a discussion for roughly 4-5 minutes with different responses and follow up questions. Each group member got to chime in with a lengthy response with plenty of meaning.

I really enjoyed this experience as a whole and look forward to doing it again
