Hamlet Act I: Thoughts

The link between the major actors in the play seem most important to me from Act I.

For instance, The remarrying of Gertrude to Claudius that infuriates Hamlet...the fact that Hamlet finds out that his father was poisoned by Claudius...and Hamlet's affection towards Ophelia.

I can sense the tension between each and every relationship in the play will cause turmoil, confusion, and consequences. These tensions are laid out pretty clearly in the first Act:

Hamlet Jr. v. Claudius

Hamlet Jr. v. Gertrude

Hamlet Sr. v. Claudius

Hamlet Sr. v. Gertrude

Ophelia v. Hamlet Jr.

Polonius v. Hamlet Jr.

Polonius v. Ophelia

These relationships laid out in Act I contribute majorly to the entire plot of the play and the infamous end result.
