I'm comparing the earlier BBC and Olivier films. My main content with be the extreme contrast between the two portrayals of Shakespeare's Hamlet.
BBC: Hamlet takes control and is animated and is borderline crazy. Claudius is composed and practical
Olivier: Hamlet is dejected, depressed, and passive. Claudius is animated and angry and is in control of the crowd.
